WHO WE ARE...
The Friends of the John Curtis Library is a group of library volunteers who work together to raise funds to support
and enhance library services in Hanover. Proceeds from the Friends' fundraisers pay for passes to local area museums
and zoos, as well as a number of special events and programs for adults and children.
WHAT WE DO...
Our fundraising has enabled us to enhance Library services in the following manner:
-
Purchase the New England Aquarium pass.
-
Purchase the Zoo New England pass. (Franklin Park and Stone Zoo)
-
Established a Hanover Teachers' Book Acquisition fund in which books are added to the
library's collection in support of the school curriculum.
-
Sponsor concerts for both adults and children.
-
Bring local authors for book presentations and signings.
-
Sponsor storytellers, slide presentations and crafts programs.
