MONDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

BOYS BASKETBALL

Adam Drummond hit two free throws with three seconds left to give Bishop Feehan (9-1) a 64-63 win over St. Mary’s in the Catholic Central Large. … Thomas Skeffington collected 14 points and 18 boards as Austin Prep took down Arlington Catholic, 61-41.

Joson Sanon scored 26 points as Durfee improved to 5-1 with a 69-63 win over Dartmouth in the Southeast Conference.

Liam Cunnie had 24 points, while Will Grudinskas and James Appleton chipped in with 11 apiece as Cohasset (2-1) defeated Cardinal Spellman, 66-40, in a nonleague contest.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Ashley Dinges had her second double-double with 10 rebounds and 15 points, while Adriana Niles had 18 points and eight rebounds as Central Catholic (5-0) defeated Tewksbury, 51-38, in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

Olivia Gourdine scored 22 points as Barnstable coasted to a 67-35 win over Nantucket in the Cape and Islands League.

Mackenzie Carreiro had 18 points and 16 rebounds, while Camryn Lewis had 18 points, 10 rebounds and six steals as Durfee defeated Dartmouth, 60-41, in the Southeast Conference.

Olivia Found had 12 points and six steals as Bishop Fenwick coasted to a 53-32 win over Archbishop Williams in the Catholic Central League.

Emily Flynn finished with 23 points, helping to give head coach Brian Fisher his 200th coaching victory as Hanover defeated Scituate, 52-25, in the Patriot League.

Sophomore Colleen Fogarty drained 13 points, as Fontbonne used a 26-2 first quarter run en route to knocking off Matignon, 64-23, in a nonleague contest.

BOYS HOCKEY

Jake Mastrangelo had three goals and two assists as Marshfield handled Whitman-Hanson, 7-2, in the Patriot League.

Falmouth and Sandwich played to a 1-1 tie in the Cape and Islands League. Max MacDonald scored for Falmouth, while Colin McIver tallied for Sandwich.

CLASS NOTES

Longtime boys tennis coach Doug Chapman of Somerset Berkley was one of 23 high school coaches from across the country selected as 2020 National Coaches of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.

St. John’s Prep Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Billy McSheffrey has been named the 2021 Massachusetts Coach of the Year by the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA). The annual honor recognizes a scholastic strength and conditioning coach for achievements in the field and passion for the profession. State Coach Of The Year winners are chosen by their peers across the Commonwealth.
