08/01/2007

What kind of job do you have? Are you treading through dirt and mud while busting up concrete and hammering nails, or are you in an office cubicle somewhere? These are very different types of jobs. I'm sure you're familiar with the terms white collar and blue collar. In most cases the cubicle jobs are consider to be white collar positions. Of course this depends on exactly how hard you're slaving away at that keyboard. Okay, that was a bad joke. Anyway, one thing you certainly need if you are tackling that cubicle career on a daily basis is a quality chair. How is your chair treating you these days? Is your back and rear end killing you or did you take the smart route and look into ergonomic office chairs to begin with?

I'm glad you found my article. Sit back and relax and I believe you will learn a thing or two

What are ergonomic office chairs? Well, the term ergonomic has to do with comfort level. For example, I like a good knife with an ergonomical handle. This way it won't wear-on and hurt my hand when I use it frequently. Now, as far as your work day goes, you certainly should not dismiss the quality and comfort of your chair. Believe it or not, this could hurt you in the long run. I mean come on; this is why ergonomic office chairs were invented. You see, it all has to do with your posture and positioning. If you get them wrong, it can have a horrible effect on your back, neck, hands and arms. When it comes to ergonomic office chairs, you need one with lumbar support. While many folks don't know it, there is a proper and improper way to type. The proper method involves sitting up straight and erect so that there is no negative positioning of your back, which can lead to serious problems. Secondly, there is a prudent way to position your arms and hands when typing. Those darn repetitive actions can hurt our bodies and wear them out. This is why correct positioning is imperative. Your arms should come down at a 90 degree angle and be positioned out to the sides. Not on your lap or resting on a keyboard. Keep your wrists and hands straight and aligned with your forearms. This way your hands should actually be hovering above the keyboard. Furthermore, you want to always remember to tap the keys lightly. This has a better effect on your hands. If you are in search of ergonomic office chairs, or more tips on typing, just hop online and enjoy the oodles this takes us to.
